A new trend that I have fallen in love with is painting the window panes black. It’s creates a dramatic, stylish, up-to-date home.

Here’s an excellent tip from Sallie Giordano! You never want to match your walls to a color in one of your fabrics… too strong. Have you ever looked closely at a textured chenille? The colors are usually much brighter than the overall look; the colors blended together become much more subtle. Step back from your fabric and choose a color that blends nicely for the walls.
Also, patterned wallpaper strengthens a room while no pattern paper softens the space. Use wallpaper without a pattern to soften strong design furnishings and accents.
